JUSTICE HAS NOT BEEN SERVED!
RALLY & PRAYER VIGIL
FOR TRAMAINE MILLER & HIS FAMILY
Saturday August 13, 2011 7:30pm
Urgent Request
By now, you should know Reginald Fisher, the officer who
shot Tramaine Miller, an unarmed man, in the face at point
blank range has been found "Not Guilty." Tramaine was at
the City View Apartments to help his paralyzed Aunt with
her medication. As you can only imagine, Tramaine and his
family are devastated by a verdict from a jury that seems to
have felt that the aggressive manner in which so many urban
communities are policed is an acceptable norm.
During the trial it was disclosed that the property owners
and the police intentionally implemented what was described as
guerilla tactics. While the property management, their police
force and this jury may approve of the use of guerilla tactics
in our community, It is imperative that we make it clear that WE
DO NOT! Christians, Muslims, Pan-Africans, Black Nationalists,
Hebrew Israelites, Traditional Spiritualists and the like...
ALL OF US, are being are being gunned down, beaten and flat
out terrorized by some police officers across this country
largely because they know they can get away with it! They know,
in many instances, the Black community won't re-act. They
know police historically get away with attacking and even
killing Black people. We need to make a different statement.
On Saturday @ 7:30p.m. we will not only show our love and
support for Tramaine Miller after this unjust verdict, we
will also send that message t= o the security force, property
management and to all of Atlanta at a mass rally and candlelight
prayer vigil. Regardless of where we live, we should be safe
from police brutality! Again, the prayer vigil will be held
a few feet from the place Tramaine nearly lost his life in
front of City View Apartments on the public sidewalk at 259
Richardson, Atlanta, GA 30312, on Saturday August 13, 2011 @
7:30 p.m. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE SEE YOU THERE!
